PRESENTATION: Blazing the Trail: A Campaign for Women in an Industry That Holds Them Back
We all know there are several different forms of gender disparities in the U.S. Women are paid less than men, they hold fewer CEO and C-Suite positions than men and let’s not even get into the “pink tax”. But did you know that women business owners receive less business loan funds than men? For every $1 a woman is given for a business loan a man is given $23. That’s not a typo! It’s no surprise the banking world hasn’t been the most inclusive and equitable between genders. If you look at most banks across the country the CEOs and boards running them look really male, white, and old. At Valliance Bank we created a Trailblazer movement to shed some light on the business loan gender gap, spark change within our industry and communities, and empower the women that are brave enough to break the standard.

PRESENTATION: Marketing Through a Pandemic and the Lessons Learned.
In March 2020 the world of sports was shut down due to the global pandemic of Covid-19, on the field and on the court. However, marketing a sports team is something that can never stop in order to stay relevant with fans. With no on field action to cover, Energy FC was forced to be creative with content and marketing plans in order to entertain its fans and attract new ones. This presentation will go over what worked, what didn’t work, and what lessons were learned during such an unprecedented time.
